The number of child workers increased significantly in streets and squares across the Iranian capital, incoming reports show.
The reason behind this increase despite the freezing winter cold temperatures in Tehran is the economic crisis that has especially engulfed Iran’s low-income and poverty-stricken communities who are enduring unprecedented pressures.
“This year there has been no money allocated in the budget for supporting the country’s child workers,” Fateme Alia, member of the regime’s Majlis (parliament) Social Commission, daring to actually add, “Some of these children are involved in the narcotics trade.”
