Washington, D.C. Apr 16, 2015 – U.S. Rep. Ed Royce (R-CA), Chairman of the House Foreign Affairs Committee, hosted a Committee meeting with Ban Ki-moon, United Nations Secretary General, to discuss a number of pressing international issues. Specifically, Chairman Royce stressed the importance of enforcing existing United Nations Security Council (UNSC) resolutions related to Iran, and stressed the importance of inspectors having unfettered access to both declared and undeclared sites.
Other topics of discussion during the meeting included much-needed reforms to the United Nations bureaucracy, the continuing conflict and humanitarian crisis in Syria, and ongoing peacekeeping missions in Africa.
