
Despite the existence of many rivers in Khuzestan province, due to rule of plunderer mullahs’ regime, people of this province drink muddy and smelly water.
In a report about the situation of drinking water in one of Ahvaz districts, a state newspaper wrote: These days drinking water system of many Ahvaz districts lacks the standards for drinking to such an extent that smells like sewage.
The situation of water in some districts especially Kutabdullah is catastrophic, because for many years the drinking water of this district has been very polluted and unusable and despite the protests and pursuits by the residents, the officials have not taken any measures.
Mentioning the intensification of water pollution of this district, the officials in Water Bureau say: Recent rainfalls have caused the pollution index of Karoon river reaches more than 23,000 units and the refinery in this region does not have the capacity of purification of this much pollution; as a result we have shut down the refinery which has led to reaching polluted water to residential units, reported state Asr-e- Iran Daily
