Iran, Apr 22, 2018— On Sunday, April 22, 2018, the buyers of Arvandi cars that were seized in the Khuzestan customs, held a protest rally in front of the Khuzestan Governor’s office in Ahvaz, Iran.
Buyers of these cars have paid their customs for three months, but officials in the province continue to prevent the clearance of the vehicles.
According to the protesters, the customs of Arvand Free Zone receive 450,000 Rials per day for each car, which has been a waste of their capital.
The owners of these cars said the cars arrived in the country according to legal procedures of the Arvand Free Zone, and the non-clearance of these vehicles, which are generally made in South Korea, is unlawful.
On April 17th, the owners of these cars signed a petition to the governor of Khuzestan calling for effective and legal action by the governor to clear Arvandi cars from the customs of Arvand Free Zone.
