A resident of Ardabil, in North-Western Iran, committed self-immolation in protest against crushing economic problems in front of the city’s Department of Industries and Mining on Saturday, January 14.
He burned himself in protest to not receiving his monthly ration of flour, and died after being rushed to a hospital in Tabriz, due to severe injuries.
It is worthy to point out that another baker had also committed self-immolation in Golpaygan on Friday, by pouring gasoline on himself and setting himself on fire to protest the economic pressures and insurance difficulties he had endured.
