Syrian Congress for Change President Amar al-Qarbi said to The New York Times on Saturday that Assad’s regime rejects international interference yet allows Iraq, Iran and Lebanon to directly intervene.
“We are witnessing on a daily basis buses after buses of club-wielding forces entering Syria,” al-Qarbi said. “Syria began with support and weapons provided by the Iranian regime, and it is carrying out its policies with Hezbollah insurgents and various Lebanese forces. Currently, Iraq has also entered a large number of forces. The Syrian regime rejects international interference yet it has allowed Iraq, Iran and Lebanon to enter the scene.”
