Ali Akbar Velayati, Khamenei’s political advisor admitted the Syrian regime is in power with the support provided by Iran.
“Everyone thought Syria would be toppled in a few months, and they sought to recover what they had lost in Africa,” he said while stressing on the mullahs’ support for Assad.
“Now 20 months has passed and the Syrian government is stronger than when the war began,” he claimed.
“Over 90% of those in Syria fighting against the Syrian government and people are non-Syrians. Despite all this Syria is still intact,” Velayati said in a severe insult to the heroic Syrian people.
