Asharq Al Awsat cited Iraqi security and political circles on Sunday revealing the Iranian regime has directly or indirectly supported ISIS. One such measure has been sending weapons and according to these sources the government of former Iraqi prime minister Nouri Maliki was fully aware of this support.
Meetings took place in this regard between Quds Force and ISIS commanders in Iraq and on the Syria-Iraq border, Asharq Al Awsat daily added.
