Arab FMs strongly condemn Ali Khamenei’s ‘hostile and disgraceful statements’

CAIRO, Sept 8 (KUNA) – Arab Foreign Ministers strongly condemned Ali Khamenei’s “hostile” verbal attacks against Saudi Arabia and its leaders.

The top diplomats, in a statement at end of their meeting, condemned Khamenei’s “hostile and disgraceful statements,” which should not be uttered by the highest authority in Iran.

They highlighted services offered by Saudi Arabia to the pilgrims throughout history, as well as expanding the holy mosques in Makkah and Madina in order to meet growing number of visitors.

The government of Saudi Arabia is the sole authority responsible for organizing Hajj rituals and serving pilgrims, said the ministers.

The Iranian accusations run contrary to values and principles of Islam as well as good neighborliness, said the ministers.
