According to received reports an Arab activist from Ahvaz named ‘Reza Maqamesi’, who is from the city of Dezful (southern Iran), has been martyred under torture in a secret prison in the city of Ahvaz. Due to the severe blows of the security forces to his hips and suffering internal bleeding, he possibly died on Wednesday, March 23rd, 2011.

According to the report of Ahvaz News, the conditions of Hadi Rashedi, who was arrested in recent days and placed under consecutive tortures, is critical, and they have attached an oxygen device to him since he is currently unconscious.

It is worth noting that annually in Iran dozens of prisoners suffer severe injuries under the physical and mental torturing of interrogators, which sometimes lead to their deaths.
