Appointing Abutalebi as Iran’s UN envoy is troublesome: US State Dept.

The US State Department has described the appointment of Hamid Abutalebi as the Iranian regime’s new envoy in the UN as very troublesome, CNN reported.
This appointment is very strange because the US and Iran are seeking to close a new chapter of a decade of enmity, CNN added, going on to say the US has delayed issuing a visa for Abutalebi for months now and has done nothing in this regard. This is an appointment that the US didn’t want to see.
Abutalebi was amongst the hostage takers that took over the US Embassy back in November 1979.
