The workers of Haft-Tappeh Sugar Cane Factory of Khuzestan province passed their 10th consecutive day of strike on Wednesday. In protest of their last three months unpaid salaries, the workers gathered in front of the governorate building in Shoush (in Khuzestan province, southwestern Iran) and chanted slogans demanded their salaries. The suppressive State Security Forces tried to prevent the protest by intimidation and threat, but the workers continued their protest.

In Genaveh, southern Iranian city, a number of the people of the city gathered in front of the governorate building to protest the rising price of rice.
