In an anti-government demonstration, the angry people of Homayounshahr (in Isfahan province) attacked the governorate building and clashed with the State Security Force (SSF) agents.

The people clashed with the agents an threw stone at the SSF agents and set tires on fire; the demonstrators also broke the main door of the governorate building. In fear of flaring up of the uprising, the SSF suppressive agents shot at the air and fired tear gas.

The reports indicate that a number of people were arrested by the SSF agents and were transferred to prisons in Najafabad and other cities of Isfahan province. Some of the demonstrators who were injured due to the SSF agents’ attacks are still hospitalized.

The latest news indicates that the Homauounshahr atmosphere is inflamed and an unannounced martial law is established in the city.
