Iran’s former oil minister and the current Energy Commission chair in the Majlis (parliament) revealed angry people blew up fuel pipes in Iran’s western Ilam Province in protest to measures by the regime.
The oil pipe carrying fuel products in the Haft Tape region in Ilam Province was blown up last night and the fire could be seen 20 kilometers away, one state-run media outlet wrote.
“This was not a terrorist act. In fact, people carried out such measures to express their anger,” the former minister said.
“Following the events in 2009, threats against the Islamic republic of Iran have significantly increased,” he added.
