
More and more Iranians are daring to protest against the mullahs’ regime. Protests are on the rise against Iran crackdown, poverty, the regime’s theft and destroying the environment.
From June 22nd onward new crackdown measures by the mullahs’ regime marking the month of Ramadan have not been able to prevent popular protest rallies and in fact such measures are growing. 365 protest gatherings have been reported in Tehran and around 30 cities across the country.
– 55 clashes between youths and regime’s repressive units erupted with state forces attacking people under the pretexts of improper hijab, eating during fasting hours, installing satellite dishes and other such allegations
– On 5 instances of these clashes patrol units were beaten by youths
– In 25 cases youths attacked patrols and were able to release arrested boys and girls
– In 10 cases where repressive forces viciously entered people’s homes to round up satellite dishes, people were able to block them off
– Fed up workers in Iran staged 77 protest rallies, being the most active part of the society in this regard. Most of these rallies protested delayed paychecks from 2 to even 7 months
– The continuing strike staged by 5,000 Bafagh Yazd miners continued into the month of June and finally the workers were able to force regime officials to back down on June 26th after 39 days of strikes. As a result the mine was not sold to state factions.
– Despite universities being closed, students staged 25 protest rallies and raised their voice to the mullahs’ regime protesting rising tuitions, lack of supplies and gender segregation measures.
The hunger strikes staged by political prisoners across the country are growing
– Political prisoner Reza Shahabi and a member of the Tehran bus drivers’ syndicate, was successful on the 50th day of his hunger strike in forcing Gohardasht Prison authorities to accept his conditions. He thus ended his hunger strike.
– 4 Sunni political prisoners on death row from Kurdistan were on hunger strike during this period with enormous pressures. This hunger strike finally came to an end when they were able to reach their demands.
– 14 prisoners in Ghezel Hesar Prison in Karaj, west of Tehran, all under death row, went on hunger strike for two weeks.
– On 5 incidents political prisoners issued individual and group statements against the mullahs’ regime.
– 108 protest gatherings were held in Tehran and other cities on water and power outages and shortages, increasing prices of such services, edible goods, auto rentals and …
– Bazaar merchants continued their strike in the metal, stationery, textile and paper industry. Some of the Tehran bazaar retailers have staged various strikes against tax extortions imposed by the regime, and some strikes are continuing.
– 47 reports have been issued on protest rallies staged by various walks of life, including teachers, employees and other parts of the workforce.
– 5 protests were reported being held against the Iranian regime’s destruction of the environment
In response to the people’s increasing wave of protests, the mullahs’ regime has attempted to increase executions, lashing people in public and vicious attacks by Bassij units and the police, all being futile.
