Amnesty International issued a statement praising the active role of brave Iranian women against the mullahs’ regime ruling Iran. Amnesty said Iranian women have paid a heavy price in this struggle.
Widney Brown, senior director of international and policy in Amnesty International said Iranian women in the June 2009 uprisings played a key role, adding active women in Iran pay a heavy price for their peaceful work.
Amnesty International also called on the Iranian regime to immediately release lawyer Nasrin Sotudeh.
