Drivers working for the southern Gas fields number 15 and 16 located in the outskirts of Ahwaz, southern Iran, went on strike on Wednesday to protest the unpaid wages and benefits. They say they have not received any salary for past 3 months. in order to force the government authorities to pay their salaries, they skipped work on Wednesday causing disruption in transferring employees of one field to another and shift changes.
The workers said that they will continue with their strike as long as their salaries are unpaid.
