Ahmadinejad takes another step to layoff central bank chief

Ahmadinejad opposed a resolution presented by the regime’s Council of Money and Credit to increase bank profit interest rates on fixed accounts to confront the currency crisis, therefore taking another step to lay off Mahmoud Bahmani, chief of the mullahs’ regime central bank.
This resolution was introduced by Bahmani, and an official of Ahmadinejad’s administration said, “The subject of increasing the rate of profit interest rates on fixed accounts was never even mentioned in the Council of Money and Credit! … At the time being, the framework of the council’s resolution is not clear and the subject of increasing these rates was not mentioned at all.”
A media outlet affiliated to the regime’s Ministry of Intelligence and Security reported, “If Ahmadinejad opposes this resolution, Bahmani will most probably be laid off as the head of the central bank.”
