
Head of the mullahs’ regime judiciary in Ardebil (northwestern Iran) reported of 40 death sentences being issued in this city alone, state-run Mehr and Fars news agencies reported. With his comments being wired by the Mehr News Agency affiliated to the Ministry of Intelligence, Ghollam-ali Rezaii, head of Ardebil judiciary reported the 40 death sentences saying, “Currently, the administrative procedures of a number of these sentences have been carried out and they will be implemented very soon.”
Coincidently, Tavakoli, the chief prosecutor in Tabas (northwestern Iran) announced that city is anticipating 15 death sentences to be carried out soon. “Last year, 15 death sentences were issued and these cases are now in the hands of the country’s chief prosecutor,” he said. “If they are approved, they will be implemented, and in addition to this, 15 other cases of life in prison have also been issued.”
