1500 workers rallied against clerical regime in southwestern Iranian city

After six consecutive days of strike, over 1500 workers of the Haft-Tappeh Sugar Cane Factory in Shoush, southwestern Khuzestan province, rallied towards downtown city of Shoush chanting anti-government slogans. The workers were supported by the people particularly the youth.

The protesting workers chanted” Livelihood is our certain right, we are Haft-Tappeh workers; we are hungry” , ” impotent director, resign, resign; Saedi (director) , resign, resign”

A great number of the people especially youth joined the workers in the way; the workers gathered then in front of the governorate building.

The workers announced should their demands weren’t fulfilled they would continue their protests.
