14 accused of spying for Iran in Bahrain

The Bahrain Supreme Criminal Court issued judicial orders against 14 individuals accused of spying for Iran, al-Arabiya TV reported on Sunday, April 20th. These individuals were trained by Iran’s Revolutionary Guards and Iraqi Hezbollah. The court condemned 12 of these individuals to life in prison and two others to 15 years behind bars. This order has been delayed since February.
The court accused three of these individuals of receiving money from the IRGC and providing financial aid for terrorism groups.  Seven others were also condemned of going to IRGC and Iraqi Hezbollah bases with the goal of committing terrorist crimes inside Bahrain.
