Oil industry workers’ strike in support of Dr. Mosaddeq

On March 29, 1951, Khuzestan oil industry workers started their strike. After Dr. Mosaddeq nationalized Iran’s oil industry on March 20, 1951, the British Oil Company cut-off workers’ bonuses that led to strikes and protests. A number of workers were killed and wounded during the contentions that erupted several times over the weeks-lasting strikes.
