Iranian Resistance leader asked UN and Human Rights to intervene for stopping massacre in Iran

On August 10, 1988, leader of the Iranian Resistance, Mr. Massoud Rajavi, asked the United Nations and all human rights organizations to make efforts to stop massacre of political prisoners.

In a statement to the Secretary General of the UN, he wrote: “Moussavi Ardebili, head of the Supreme Court of Khomeini regime, has recently announced that the execution of members and sympathizers of the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI) that have taken place so far in the groups of 10 and 20 entails no more trials. As the regime itself has acknowledged in its media , execution by firing squad and hanging of the groups of innocent people and youth, including in the cities of Ilam, Kermanshah, Kangavar, Eslamabad and Kerend has started and still continues and everyday the extent of arrests, tortures and executions are increased.”
