Establishment of Foundation of Dehkhoda Encyclopedia

On January 15, 1946, under a Parliament resolution passed in appreciation to 40-years of Ali Akbar Dehkhoda’s hard work in collecting the Dehkhoda Encyclopedia, a foundation was established to assemble scholars under Dehkhoda’s supervision at the government’s expense.
In support of this resolution, Dr. Mosaddeq who was the Tehran Representative in Parliament, said: I wanted to say that Mr. Dehkhoda had worked hard on the encyclopedia for 40 years, but he could not any more. There had to be a group of people under his supervision to finish the book.
Based on the resolution, the book was published in the Parliament’s publishing center.
