Mohammad Ameen Agushi, a political prisoner and retired teacher, was transferred to Tabriz Central Prison in northwest Iran on March 22nd. He had already spent 7 years and 8 months behind bars.
Agushi was arrested on September 22nd, 2007 in the city of Urumieh, northwest Iran, and sentenced to 10 years in exile in Zahedan Central Prison, located in southeast Iran. For 7 months and 20 days he was placed under interrogation and torture in solitary confinement of the Ministry of Intelligence in Fort Ramezan, located in the city of Urumieh.
