Italy’s foreign undersecretary Called On Iran to Stop Executions

The Italian news agency ANSA on Dec. 24, reported that Italy’s foreign undersecretary Gianni Vernetti describing Iranian regime a fundamentalist and dictator regime which by abusing the religion of Islam, has set up wave of executions in Iran.

He added I am especially concerned on the matter since Iranian regime is continuing the executions even after the resolution of prohibiting capital punishment and execution was adopted by the UN General Assembly, and 5 more prisoners were executed during recent days.

He added not all the Islamic countries implement the capital punishment and death sentences; it has nothing to do with the Koran; rather it is a political abuse of this book which a fundamentalist dictatorship like the mullahs’ regime in Iran uses it to prevent any democratic process in Iran.
