The families of the five detained workers in the Bafagh metal stone mine in central Iran held a gathering on Saturday, August 23rd, demanding the release of the detained workers. Iranian regime authorities had detained these five workers – already on strike – at 2 am in the morning of Saturday, August 23rd. The mullahs’ so-called courts had issued arrest warrants for 18 of these workers.
Repressive police agents had already arrested two of these workers. The workers are protesting the fact that regime authorities intend to sell-off the mine to various plundering individuals of this regime, all under the claim of privatization.
