Amir Al-Kanani, Secretary General of the Al-Ahrar faction from the Sadrist faction said: The stance of the National Alliance bloc led by Ammar Hakim on disagreeing with the further premiership of Nouri Maliki is irreversible, reported Al-Sharqiya TV on July 7, 2010.
 
He warned that Nouri Maliki’s insistence on his own candidacy for the premiership has brought the two blocs to the verge of dissolution.
