Despite continuing airstrikes against Syrian fighters by Russian warplanes in Syria on Sunday, the Syrian opposition said in heavy clashes against Assad forces and their militants in southern Syria near Qonaytare Province they were able to kill dozens of Assad troops and destroy much of their military equipment in the town of Tal Ahmar. These units were linked to the 90th Brigade of Assad’s army.
Syrian activists have posted video footages of attacks carried out by the rebels against Assad forces in bases that are now under the fighters’ control.
Syrian opposition groups also reported Russian airstrikes continued and targeted the town of Ahsam near Idlib, in which more than 10 civilians lost their lives and many others were injured.
