Political prisoner Arzhang Davoudi, detained in exile in Bandar Abbas Prison in southern Iran, was transferred to ward 209 of Tehran’s notorious Evin Prison for interrogation and new charges to be raised in court.
Arzhang Davoudi, whose 10-year term behind bars had ended, to this day has faced numerous new charges and has been sentenced again to 20 years and 8 months behind bars.
This time a so-called judge by the name of Pir Abbasi, head of the 26th branch of Tehran courts, ordered him to be transferred to ward 209 in Evin Prison with the goal of opening a new case against Davoudi based on charges of “insulting the leader (Khamenei)” and to have him prosecuted once again.
