Last night the UN Security Council held an emergency session to evaluate Russia’s aggression against Ukraine. In this session the Ukrainian government’s UN envoy said, “Russian forces have illegally entered the Crimea region. Russia has violated the Budapest Memorandum of Understanding. Russia has violated the main principle of the UN Charter. We are requesting international observation to protect Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.”
Currently Russia has deployed 15,000 troops in Crimea.
