Sari: On the morning of Saturday, February 13th a number of store owners in this city’s traditional bazaar and those working in the Imam Reza bazaar began protesting against municipality agents after being faced with severly damaged sidewalks and municipality machinery.
The storeowners had closed their shops until 2 in the afternoon and prevented contractors from continuing their work.
The storeowners are protesting the fact that the municipality intends to place the expenses of so-called renovation projects on the shoulders of the storeowners themselves.
Firuzkuh – Popular protest against road services
From the morning of Friday, February 12th intense snowfall created major problems for those seeking to use the Tehran-Firuzkuh highway.
The Damavand-Firuzkuh highway witnessed many people protesting the fact that no vehicles were sent to plow the snow and open the road for commuting.
“The reason why they are not sending any snowplows to clear the road is that regime officials are punishing those who left Tehran for vacation in the north, and thus refused to attend the anniversary of the Islamic revolution on February 11th.
