According to VOA TV, Dec 1, 2008, the US officials in Iraq announced that 33 agents affiliated to the Iranian regime had been arrested in Iraq during November.

Other reports indicate that 7 elements of the IRGC’s Qods Force were arrested in Basra only on December 11. A Basra security official said: All these 7 were Iranian-origin terrorists affiliated to the Qods force of the Iranian regime.

The Iraqi Police said: During arrest of these 7 persons, 52 vehicles and motorcycles and a few Katyusha rockets brought from Tehran were confiscated.
