Arab coalition forces have taken over the Tal’a Homra and al-Bas heights of Ma’rib Province, Al Arabiya TV reported on Sunday. Popular resistance forces have been able to run down Houthi militants intending to flee from the town of Sarwah.
These latest advances came after Masariya heights were captured and the Houthi militants were run out of this district.
Informed sources said Houthi militants and troops loyal to ousted dictator Ali Abdullah Salah are fleeing numerous warfronts, as they are being chased down by popular resistance forces.
Other reports indicate a battalion of Republican Guard forces linked to ousted dictator Ali Abdullah Salah have surrendered themselves to the Arab coalition with all their weapons and ammunition.
After the Masariya heights fell there has been vast crumbling of Houthi forces. Ma’rib Province is the scene of many celebrations by the people following recent victories gained by Arab coalition forces.
