The United States prohibited auction of the parts of deactivated F-14 fighter to prevent Iran from purchasing it.

Following reports regarding that the Iranian regime acquires the spare parts of F-14 fighters through participating in the US Pentagon auctions, two US Senators proposed the prohibition of selling these kinds of parts in the new US military budget bill. This bill was endorsed by the US President.

It is worth mentioning that the Iranian regime is the only regime that still uses F-14 fighters. The United States has deactivated these planes years ago.
