
The People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran accused Islamic republic leader Khamenei of ordering the missile attack against Camp Liberty, the Voice of America website reported on February 14th.
According to Agence France Presse, the PMOI issued a statement declaring the decision to attack the PMOI camp in Iraq was determined by Iran’s Supreme National Security Council and under orders of Khamenei in late January of this year, and carried out in complicity with the Iraqi government.
The PMOI statements indicates 40 attackers, missiles, mortars and other equipment used in the Saturday attack were transferred to the operation site with vehicles belonging to Iraqi police and the Iraqi Interior Ministry.
According to the PMOI, seven were killed and around 100 others wounded as a result of this attack.
