Revolutionary Guards commander Mohammad Ali Ja’fari said Khamenei accepts no limits in assigning missions to the IRGC covering various scopes of defending the so-called ‘Islamic republic’. Ja’fari said Khamenei has demanded the IRGC to be ready to defend the mullahs’ regime in all fields.
“Despite the span of the IRGC, the linked Bassij forces and the various scenes the country is facing, the IRGC is no longer just an armed wing of the leader,” state-run Asr-e daily reported. “It is also considered the leader’s unarmed wing.
