
The Iranian regime’s Public Prosecutor acknowledged that 2,500 people were arrested during post-election uprising, reported state-run ILNA News Agency.
ILNA reported: “During meeting of the Parliament’s minority leader, Mohammad Reza Tabesh, with the Public Prosecutor, the post- presidential election problems were discussed. In this meeting, Tabesh informed the Public Prosecutor of concerns of some detainees’ families.”
The Public Prosecutor said: “During the post-election events 2,500 people were arrested.”
He added: “During coming days the detainees’ files will be referred to the courts after going through legal procedures to be investigated by judges of the Justice Department based on legal standards.
