In the power struggle and rifts deepening inside the Iranian regime’s senior ranks, Majlis (parliament) member Ali Mottahari said Radio & TV Organization chief Ezzatollah Zarghami is under pressure from certain circles to impose limitations on Rouhani’s cabinet.
Mottahari made these remarks in response to the issue of delaying the broadcast of Rouhani’s evening live interview and Zarghami’s protest letter to the supervising council of this entity.
Rouhani’s interview, planned to be broadcasted at 9 pm, was aired at 10:53 pm local time.
The regime’s official news agency immediately announced that Zarghami had prevented the airing of this interview.
