Iraqi MP Karime al-Jawari from the Iraqiya Coalition welcomed the European Union decision in appointing a special representative for Ashraf.
“This decision is a result of the incidents that have occurred and is a positive step,” al-Jawari said.
“The Ashraf residents’ status in Iraq is legal and they are refugees under international treaties,” this Iraqi MP added.
