14 November 2008 -In a session held in the European Parliament, a number of representatives of the Parliament commemorated the memory of Abdolreza Rajabi who was martyred under torture in prison by the mullahs’ regime ruling Iran.

Prof. Vitatas Landsbergis, Former President of Lithuania and the member of European Parliament , as well as a delegation from the Val-d’Oise province in France participated too in the gathering who, in their speeches, condemned the torture and murder of political prisoners by the mullahs’ regime.
Mrs. Mari Lourt Giyeux, on behalf of the French delegation from Val-d’Oise, said: “I had this privilege to trip to Ashraf. While we were there, we learned about the martyrdom of Abdolreza Rajabi. He was slain after eight years of imprisonment and torture. We urge the human rights authorities, members of the parliaments and the European parliament to pressure the Iranian regime to abandon torturing people and let a democratic government be established in Iran.”
