Dr. Mohammad Sheikhli, Iraqi jurists and President of the London-based National Center for Justice described Maliki’s policy of forcing prisoners to confess to fabricated crimes as a systematic crime.
“Continuous human rights violations is one example of constant inhumane crimes committed against the Iraqi people. The policy of Maliki’s government to obtain confessions from prisoners is a systematic crime. Maliki has taken control of everything, from the government, the Central Bank and the Iraqi judiciary,” Dr. Sheikhli said.
The United Nations published a report of Iraq’s human rights situation and expressed concerns, yet Martin Kobler described Maliki’s plans and agenda as similar to those of the UN, thus cloaking Maliki’s crimes, he added.
“A number of Maliki’s elements, who have inhumane criminal records, will be arrested if they go outside the country, as one of them was recently in France, and later released, who had committed crimes against Ashraf. The cases of these individuals are active in the Spanish National Court,” Dr. Sheikhli continued.
