(S) On April 14, Global Affairs officer delivered ref nonpaper to German MFA Export Control Division Desk Officer Wiebke Wacker regarding an Iranian effort to procure 1800 stainless steel valves from the German firm Mit-Weimar GmbH in support of Irans nuclear program. Wacker said that she would deliver the ref information to the appropriate export controls authorities at the German Federal Office of Economics and Export Control (BAFA).
