S. Carolina bans contracts with firms doing business with Iran

The South Carolina Governor signed into a law a bill banning this state from investing or signing contracts with international firms having investments over $20million dollars in the regime’s energy branch.
Prior to this 29 other states in the US had passed laws banning investments into the Iranian regime. However, South Carolina is the first state after the temporary Geneva agreement that is imposing such sanctions.
According to the Associated Press, Senator Lindsey Graham, member of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, said this measure sends a strong message to Iran that until it continues its efforts to obtain weapons and threatens the US, it will not be welcomed in this state.
