The Iraqi National Dialogue Council released a statement and emphasized: “By removal of terrorist designation off the PMOI, an end was put on the outrageous injustice against this organization. In our view, lifting such an accusation from the PMOI, which has had the most serious role in revelation of destabilizing policies in Iraq, region, and the world, is regarded a significant and determinative development; the Iraqi people have known the PMOI closely since years ago and have always considered them as freedom fighters and their strategic allies.

The statement added: “Now, after this very important historical event, no more excuse is left to put pressure on Ashraf residents; that is why following EU’s right decision of delisting PMOI, we hope the US new administration and Mr. Obama take a similar measure when reviewing the US terrorist list, and remove that organization from its list.
