The World Health Organization, WHO, is accusing Assad regime of impeding the transfer of much needed medical equipment and supplies to the opposition held areas.
Ms Elizabeth Hoff (Norway) a WHO Representative in Syria said lack of delivery of medical supplies and drugs to these besieged regions has caused a tremendous hardship for the residents and that the Assad regime continues to disrupt the transfer of medical supplies to the needy people. She added that the war in Syria has left over one million injured and lack of access to medicine for those in need would only increase various diseases.
