Evin Prison security guards attacked a young prisoner on Wednesday, July 29 in ward 7 of this notorious facility. Alireza Golipour, a student of communications and working for the Ministry of Communications and Technology, now a political prisoner, saw all of his items being inspected, then blindfolded and transferred to the prison’s counterintelligence section where he was severely beaten.
He was amongst those prisoners who has been under interrogation and torture in solitary confinement for a very long time now. His family is under pressure and being harassed, and to this day they have only been allowed one very short meeting with their son.
