The website of Quds Force chief Qassem Suleimani on Monday reported the death of an Iraqi militant commander by the name of Ala’ Mousavi who had been injured some time ago in Latakia, adding to this day dozens of Iraqi Hezbollah members have been killed while fighting in Syria.
The US Congress central research service reported on September 5th that in Syria various analysis reveal five to ten thousand Shiite Iraqi militants are fighting alongside Syrian regime soldiers. Many political and Shiite militant groups in Iraq have been trained in Iran and worked closely with the Lebanese Hezbollah before being dispatched to Syria.
