Secretary General of Islamic Party and Iraqi Vice President Tariq Hashemi threatened that if the Iraqi government does not take any step toward national reconciliation, he would boycott the political process.

Talking with Reuters, Hashemi underscored: We will not wait for ever; if the government does not meet our demands regarding reconciliation and reforms, then we shall reconsider our participation in political process completely.”
