Christmas Appeal
The Washington Times, 23 Dec 2011 – International religious leaders call for safety and well-being of Ashraf residents and observation of their rights.
On the occasion of Christmas and the special blessing that comes with it, religious leaders around the world called for the safety and well-being of 3,400 Iranian dissidents in Camp Ashraf, Iraq, and condemned their relocation inside of Iraq without proper international monitoring and protection.
The religious leaders called on the UN and US to ensure the minimum guarantees for the relocation of Camp Ashraf residents otherwise it will be a forcible relocation. They emphasized a forcible relocation inside Iraq is tantamount to the residents’ death warrant and urged for US and UN protection as essential for the residents.
